Positive Parenting Solutions or a PDF guide for parents of teens?
A course can structure a learning journey; a reference guide can help you prepare a particular conversation. Choosing between Positive Parenting Solutions and a PDF pack starts with separating those needs.
A programme and a reference tool
Positive Parenting Solutions presents an online parenting course and its FAQ includes parents of teenagers among its audience. Our pack is a PDF focused on everyday communication: arguments, silence, screen boundaries and short messages. It is not equivalent to taking that course.
We sell the pack discussed here. This is an editorial comparison, with no affiliation to Positive Parenting Solutions and no independent evaluation of outcomes for either option.
Start with the scope of your need
Write two sentences about what you want. “We want to rethink how we organise rules and routines” suggests a broader learning need. “I want to prepare a conversation after yesterday's argument” identifies a bounded task. Both needs can coexist, but they do not require the same purchase.
| What you need | What to evaluate |
|---|---|
| A learning pathway | Course syllabus, sequence, access and study time |
| Reference scripts | The specific situations covered by the PDF |
| Two adults working together | Whether both can use the resource and agree an approach |
| Individual clarification | Whether it exists, who provides it and on what terms; our PDF does not include it |
How much time will you actually use?
Before buying a course, reserve a realistic slot in your calendar. Review the programme and check the language of its materials. A wider range of topics does not automatically make an offer a better fit.
Before buying the pack, read its deliverables. It is designed for consulting scripts, not for lessons, family assessment or personalised answers. You can prepare a conversation by reading one script and adapting the wording to your own voice.
Example: adults disagree about phones
If one adult sets a boundary and another reverses it, buying more phrases will not by itself resolve the disagreement. Identify what the adults need to discuss first. Look for the relevant topic in the programme or contents instead of assuming it is included.
Our pack can support conversations about boundaries, but it does not include mediation between adults. Keeping this distinction clear avoids buying a tool while expecting a different service.
